(1/2) Had a few surprises in my DNA results. I knew my 8th great grandmother was Mexican, but I did not expect Icelandic or Central Asian ancestry to pop up. I know the most recent common ancestor of all humans lived 2000-5000 years ago, probably along the silk road.

(2/2) Which is really wild to think about. But that's obviously too long ago for this match, which is 1% of my DNA, so it goes back relatively few generations. Anyway, we're all related so be nice to each other.
