got a mailer today from a mass super pac that CLAIMS to warn me, a massachussetts voter, about the 'dangers' of a 'SUPER LIBERAL' socialist candidate for governor who i admit i did not know about until this mailer appeared in my box today. the card seems to tout her 'dangers' in flattering terms.

the flip side says we should vote for 'commonsense republican mike minogue' but the conspirarcy therorist in me thinks these were targeted mailers sent to voters in progressive pockets to convince them to not vote for the elected governor (a democrat) and lower her totals statewide.

This is a pretty common tactic -- a small PAC that pops up to push unwinnable voters toward a longshot candidate to lower someone's margin. www.politico.com/news/2026/06...
