1. POINPY - a vertical bouncing/climbing/combo game about grabbing fruits, squishing baddies, and racing against the flames of a voracious cat god
2. Isle of Arrows - it's classic TD but with a really clever procgen layer on top. instead of learning which combo of towers can beat a given level, can you use the random tiles (towers, slowers, econ/space boosters) to beat an ever growing threat? how far can you go? ("roguelike" doesn't fit imo)
3. Helix - @smestorp.bsky.social's take on a bullet hell or asteroids or geometry wars. i discovered this from @secretlivesofgames.bsky.social's episode on it and it blew my mind. a pure run-based game; no unlocks or progression or currency, just you and your finger and those goddamn butterflies
4. A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build - @draknek.bsky.social has released so many good games, but the hours i spent with this were... divine. the midpoint turn blew me away, the tiny bits of characterization, the monster's animations, the way the puzzles build on top of each other!!!!! ugh it's perfect
