A Russian frigate fired two flares toward a Danish Air Force Fennec helicopter during a routine photo mission in international waters off Gedser, Denmark's military says. One flare passed close to the helicopter. The Danish military says flares are normally used as attention signals at sea. #Russia

I have often seen these beautiful little Fennecs at airshows and occasionally even over my family home back in Jutland. As with the F-16s we donated to Ukraine, it is absurd to suddenly see one of them become headline news in international media coverage. But it is 2026, of course.
