Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced the “Army of Robots,” an initiative to accelerate battlefield robotics. He says humanoid robots should evacuate wounded troops, deliver ammunition, conduct reconnaissance, clear and lay mines, defend positions and strike targets. #Ukraine

Federov has jumped the shark. I was mad when Zelinsky fired him, but the more Federov talks, the more he looks like an incompetent buffoon, that probably had smart people under him that did all the work, while he claimed all the credit. Because now that he’s on his own, he sounds like a dumbass.

Okay, this is getting really creepy. Although fully agreeing on the "lives saving part," I hope it gets a lid on it before Skynet takes over.

What's the point of making those robots humanoid? That's really only useful if you want them to use tools and vehicles made for humans. Seems much easier to make specialized robots for certain tasks - like we do everywhere else.

Humanoid robots are a truly inefficient form for any task and is the fantasy of tech bros who treat war as an RPG. Something lower to the ground like the combat robots already in use is cheaper, easier to scale up, and sturdier.

This guy has spent too much time talking to Musk and Karp and is high on their supply. Turns out Z. was right to get rid of him. He will be a giant (tech billionaire owned) PITA down the road.
