❗️Two-thirds of the intelligence Ukraine currently receives comes from European countries, including France, French FM Jean-Noël Barrot says. He added that France and its partners are developing air-defense interceptors that can be produced faster and at lower cost. #Ukraine

That is very good. Between tRump and Musk controlling weapon supplies and who can get our intel, Putin controls what the US is allowed to sent to Ukraine. Musk is here illegally and must be sent home with his tail between his legs. The EU must provide both to Ukraine! POWER TO UKRAINE!!!

'That is very good. Between teRRible tAco and Muskrat controlling "weapon supplies" and who can get our intel, Dictator Putin controls what the occupied US is allowed to sent to United Ukraine.' There, fixed the first part for you 👍 (1/2)

I know Europe still can't produce all weapons needed and still needs to buy some to US (PURL program), but in 1 or 2 years ZERO should be bought to US and that should last for the next 100 years! I suppose the Convicted Felon hopes Russia or North Korea will buy American weapons instead (no kidding)

That's not happening any time soon. First, we would need to develop our own reusable orbital rockets. Currently, there are not even _plans_ to do so. Of course, _some_ capabilities of Starlink can be provided by other systems. But specifically the real-time aspect is a problem.

It's not a suggestion. It's a warning. Make the plans and rally whatever you can, it doesn't matter whether it's an international organization or a handful of nerds and random boomer investors you cold call from a penny stocks list. If the midterms go well you might have a few months to get it done.

Well, I sure can't build rockets and satellites in my garage. Warning or not, it's not happening in a short time frame. I'm just being realistic. (In my opinion, this kind of doomerism is not helpful at all.)

Indeed. and it will be brutal 3+ years until we see IRIS²/SpaceRise (SES/Eutelsat/Hispasat) being able to replace the U.S. systems (at least for government services)...

if it is non moving targets... Ukraine got this absolutely covered (France, Finland, Japan...). The US is 'just' not replaceable (yet!) when it comes to real time data and moving objects. BUT... refineries, data centers, power stations... (wink wink..)
