The collectables in Fable 2 are interesting. The collectables themselves are cool. The way the gargoyles announce their presence by taunting you is funny and needing to find the silver chests in addition to the keys makes them more interesting than a traditional collectable hunt.​

However, the gargoyles require a specific ability to be able to shoot them and won't speak if you don't have it, meaning that you can't even identify their locations if you pass them early in the game.​
