“Unprecedented” - Trump is a monster, but that’s a strange word to use about an institution that has been around for 2 thousand years and has seen far worse. Let’s save the word for when it really applies.

If you have to qualify “unprecedented”, then it ain’t so. And when it comes to the papacy, Hitler was yesterday: pope has been attacked with *swords*, nvm words. Yes, I am being precious, but words matter — q.v. the overuse of “terrorist” , when now even ICE protesters are branded thus
