I’m pretty sure that we all know when some behavior is just wrong. They better figure out quickly how they will repair these children & prevent this in the future.

It is appalling & heartbreaking to see this happening in 2026. It’s obvious the teachers aren’t given the skills to deal with children with disabilities. Being a Special Education teacher it is very upsetting. Teachers need support staff with Sp.Ed qualifications to help these kids.Help them.

ceste/chest sorry typo. If a kid is having an emotional emergency, you help them to deal with that, & teach them skills to use in the future. You go on a nature walk, (our school has a safe one in the grounds for that purpose) you sit in the corner with a book, you make angry drawings... Not this.

As a special education teacher with 26 years in the classroom, the minute they showed me that situation, I would have walked out the front door. That is outrageous, if true.

I don't know about New York, but at least in the state I work in those employees would be receiving felony charges.
