our planet is burning to death and the world leaders (largely) sit by and count their profits from oil. they don't see that "you can't take it with you" and that their children inherit a catastrophic world.

The increase in wildfires is a result of climate change, and we need to increase investment in emissions reduction and disaster prevention.

Global climate change certainly is real, but it is not sudden. It is not responsible for every climate anomaly. Some are in the historical range of climate variation. Some are a confluence of good reasons. While our earth is warming and the future is dire, look at other causes at the same time.
