I had to fill out US Census 'American Community Survey' this year. It seems like a form looking for non-citizens. I'm guessing ICE got a copy. Census bureau kept nagging me to fill it out warning it was required by law. So invasive: employer, salary, non-citizens in the home and their employer, ...

It could be because only the CONGRESS can alter the requirements of the Census. The Executive manages. IT does not make law or write law or do anything but manage and supposedly represent We, the People, to the rest of the world. He'll fail this time too.

Not quite. Many census decisions are made by the executive branch. For example, the ever-changing questions on race and ethnicity aren't determined by Congress.

Title 13 outlines U.S. Census Bureau & requires to notify Congress of planned subjects 3years in advance & specific questions two years in advance. Constitution gives Congress ultimate authority over the census, the EB is responsible for the actual execution, administration & reporting of the count.

It's not what Trump wants to change it's what Republicans want to change. Trump is not a policy wonk. He's not in the weeds about census mechanics.
