My (naive) cousin nearly got sucked into one. She accepted the sample, which then led to a "free" product demo, which then led to the hard sell(moisturizer for $1200!) before I could get her out of there. You don't just buy a product; you subscribe and it's virtually impossible to cancel.

First of all, preserve your human dignity by living somewhere that is too sparsely populated to support malls. They are obsolete in this age of internet shopping. I have not entered a mall for 15 years now.
