Many Medicare Advantage plans have just disappeared because insurance companies couldn't make obscene profits from them. And there are fewer offerings and most are restrictive HMOs with small provider networks.

People pick “advantage” plans because they are cheeper per month. Medicare for all advocates refuse to acknowledge that the monthly Medicare fee is too high. They should be pushing for a Medicaid for all plan.

Avoid Medicare Advantage plans entirely. They are a SCAM. Plain Medicare is better (especially with a supplemental—that’s the best you can get in America)

FYI a lot of plans are cancelling silver sneakers - choose carefully if you need access to fitness/recreation centers. I’m so disappointed for my mom who loves Zumba and will have to pay out of pocket now if she can’t find a plan that covers fitness. It’s preventative care, this makes no sense.

My dads going through this for the third year in a row. Companies keep moving them around and what they offer in which counties its insane But its still easier than three separate plans

What a mess their website is! So much information is buried, making it impossible to do a proper comparison of choices with the details all in one place. Everybody watch out for significant price increases too, especially for Part D. The Soc Sec Cost of Living increase probably won't even cover it

Being self-employed, I have always worked with a healthcare broker. For Medicare too. So knowledgeable & easy. Best way to cut through it all.

My former employer spoiled me for sure. I figured it out and found the info I wanted but I feel bad for those who are less tech savvy and can't figure out how to look deeper into the details.
