From @theathletic.com: The WNBA has spiraled into a rinse-and-repeat drama. "The mayhem that swallows up the sport is at risk of alienating the die-hards and turning off the interlopers, too," our columnist writes.

WNBA leadership and the players are air balling the moment, no longer showcasing the purity of the women’s game. They’ve allowed the noise to become the headline over the incredible talent.

NYT DOESN'T HAVE THE INTEGRITY TO SIMPLY TELL THE TRUTH: MANGO MESSIAH AND HIS KKKRISTOFASCIST KKKABAL...INCLUDING THE CAPTURED MILITARY...TRIED TO REPURPOSE AN ASSASSINATION THREAT INTO A MASS DEATH EVENT FOR WH PRESS SO THEY COULD BOTH GET RID OF YOU AND LEVERAGE IT AS A 9-11-TYPE "UNIFIER".

Carrington says the white privilege comment posted 3 minutes after her ejection had nothing to do with the foul because she's too smart for that. Never explained what it meant because she smarter than us dumbass folk too.

Take a beat and step back. No need to move at a whiplash pace. "WNBA is facing heat for the FIFA-like referee's inconsistent penalty-calling." "Like Elon Musk, WBNA players are turning to social media" "MAGA-influencers grow their audience through anti-Black, anti-LGBTQ+ tropes"

Stop saying the WNBA spiraled into rinse-and-repeat. There are 15 teams in the WNBA; the current culture war was sparked by one player on the Indiana 'Drama' Fever. The Transphobic hate will continue until ownership/coach shuts down that player or an apology is made by that team. The #WNBA is fine

It’s the coverage, not the game that is ruining it. Kayla McBride set the WNBA record for 3s for the top team in the league- but Sports Illustrated had THREE Fever stories - but none about McBride. Too many stories by outlets/people who couldn’t care less about the games themselves.
