Most of the Western world did NOTHING while The Taliban and the Iranian regime brutalized women and girls and denied them basic human rights. It's crazy that half of the world human population is largely denied basic rights.

“More diplomacy” sounds noble until you remember the people running Iran treat women’s rights like a crime. War isn’t the answer, sure, but speeches about dialogue while women get beaten in the streets isn’t really support either. The only people actually fighting for Iranian women are Iranian women

Now in Der SPIEGEL ⬇️ This will bring even more harm to the women, when I read this

Analysts from the European External Affairs Service do not currently assume that the war in Iran will lead to a overthrow of the regime. This is clear from the confidential minutes of a meeting on Tuesday. It seems "likely" that the regime in Tehran will "hold itself as a central government🧵

Freeing Iranian women (indeed, women in other theocracies) is a noble cause. Using force shouldn’t be ruled out if all else fails. However, in the U.S. the administration should free American women from the bonds placed on them by home grown Christian Nationalists. That should be job 1.
