Yeah, it was! BioForge ends on a cliffhanger, and a full sequel (BioForge II) was underway before it got re-scoped into the BioForge Plus expansion, which even reached beta before Origin's rough 1995 killed it. That lost beta's high on my list of things I'd love to see preserved.
