i saw You Can See Everything last night as a proponent of 90 min movies, those 3 hours flew by just go see it man, it’s truly an incredible ride and a fascinating look into humanity in general

It was so good and crazy. Was kind of in disbelief that it was really happening, but that probably speaks more about the people in it.

i wasn’t really into Nathan Fielder’s stuff before because Nathan for You gave me anxiety but after Rehearsal S2 and this i am very fond of his recent projects and approach

That's cool to hear. Nathan for You always felt too mean to me, like the joke of a lot of the episodes was "A guy with ESL who doesn't entirely understand what's happening." The end result was always framed somewhat wholesome but I just kept thinking "These people didn't consent to this."

Yeah, a lot of it for me was just being unable to suspend my disbelief to enjoy it. Knowing it’s a tv production I was just like, well these people have to be signing contracts and stuff because legally this can’t happen. I think he’s matured and found more interesting ways to subvert expectations.

It's a documentary about Elizabeth holmes and seeing if she really believes herself to be innocent, the course of the documentary (mainly) taking place after she's charged with 4 counts of criminal fraud but before she's actually sent to prison

jaw dropped at least three times in that thing. unbelievable how some folks are just... like that

I'll add it to my list! And yeah, I'm of two minds about that. Being unable to keep a story under 2 hours is sometimes an issue with the edit, but also some films just don't feel like their run time. Turns out art is very complicated. 😅
