I hope to hell Wildwood is actually good and not like every other Laika thing that gets praised to the rooftops by a tiny handful of people that gets forgotten about 5 minutes later, and then when I finally check it out years later, it turns out to be beautifully-constructed-but-narratively-inert.

I'll be vulnerable and say that I didn't jump on the Coraline train. Kubo was the only one that stuck with me. But Wildwood will have a special place in my collection now. (Partial bias, it's an older sibling story and as an older sister, yup)
