Should I move @arabica.social into the cloud now that I have a vps with enough headroom to run it? Uptime would probably be better (but it wouldn't be running on a random PC in my house anymore)

tbf the old vps probably also could have handled it, its not a very resource intensive app to run

Move it. A PC at home is fine until the week you're away and it needs a reboot. Keep the home box for backups, not for the thing other people are using.
