I used to be a WaPo Opinions video editor, and if a video didn't have 100 views within the first five minutes of publishing on Youtube, I would've considered it an embarrassing failure. Fortunately didn't happen much!

can't imagine why this wapo opinions video isn't doing well on youtube! (one of them tells us he went to harvard within the first 30 seconds, i shit you not)

If I had brought this bland-ass footage to my editor she would have been shocked and told me to reshoot. There are windows and walls more interesting than these literally 20 feet away in the same room. I can only assume the videographer hates their fucking guts.

the second they showed up for taping, before they even sat down on the couch, I would've made one or three of them put on blazers. this looks like fucken synchronized swimming.
