I love that I can share my honest options and NOT wind up being personally attacked for doing so. I've reconnected with many of my Twitter friends, but the atmosphere on BlueSky is so much more positive that I doubt I'll keep up my Twitter account for much longer. We are stronger together!!!

I don't like social media, but this is important work.

I never cared for X. I just recently joined BlueSky as I don't like Meta either. This was a good middle ground for me. I get to see stuff I actually like instead of non stop ads. My feed is primarily artists, photography, book lovers, writers, video game/horror nuts like me, and interesting people.

My Twitter feed was so full of porn... People I don't even follow. This is a breath of fresh air

Bluesky is definitely toppling threads by June of next year

You can mute accounts - which is pretty much the “no thank you“ option.

Any space that doesn't coddle racists and hate speech is a fine place to be in my book 😁. Shitter has become as toxic as a waste dump, which is precisely where all that nonsense belongs. Glad to be here and hoping (against hope?) that it stays that way.

I'm quite new, but liking it! Thus far, lots of followers, but not a lot of interaction, which would be nice. 😊 I'm still on the bird that went bad, but I'm easing my way out day by day !

Great! No MAGA victims or perpetrators needing rescuing. Independent, self sufficient, resilient people ... leaders leaving misogyny, racism, zenophobia, for the hurting X echo chamber to channel their hate, powerlessness, anger and shame. We's free to hug and love each other as strong humans.

BlueSky is basically twitter without all the trolls (bcs the troll farmers are busy elsewhere). I'm enjoying curating my community, being much more selective about who I follow.

I think & Hope, Bluesky has the potential to really free speak. Maybe if we don't allow hate and incitement to take hold here.

I really like BlueSky, been on here for a couple of weeks. It's very similar to X, except a more pleasant experience, no auto refresh of posts and notifications leaving you in control and a management that cares rather than allowing hate, porn etc to spread wide. No annoying ads too!
