turns out that people will get out of the habit of being very considerate of you if you dont act like an agent that demands consideration, who knew

probably 70+% of the incidental mistreatment i get irl is directly downstream of the fact that i think it would be unreasonable to ask, even people that are friends and definitely would change their behavior, to change their behavior since its not like anyone is really getting hurt or anything

and then it becomes self reinforcing cause its like well now if i do show any agency it'll be out of the norm which is inherently dangerous
