With all the progress in #AI tools, is there still interest in studying and learning? I want to write about how I'm creating the Pac-Man game for #MSX, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Two things I've picked up in my own retroblogging time: * "Here's how I did a thing" and "here's how to do things" are two very distinct topics. * Which articles get big spikes of, or sustained, interest is basically random and doesn't correlate to how hard it was to write

As an example of the latter, my biggest spikes in stats involved API tours of the TI-99/4A, but my most reliably popular article over the years was one about welding printfs into the Amiga's GUI library

There are people using AI to “create” 8-bit games, but I love reading about how people create them by hand - would love to talk to you about it for Retro Gamer, perhaps?

It's still on the making, and redoing the game now, but I thought it was a good opportunity to write about it at the same time. I would love to talk with you about it when there is more progress.

There are people who are just interested in the end result and it’s no surprise that they’re content to just use AI. But there are also people who are interested in the challenging yet rewarding journey that is #MSX dev. If you enjoy solving technical puzzles, you don't want the AI to play for you.
