When I started my radio show in 2003, women were represented in electronic music mainly as voices, often sampled. Since then, women & trans-led initiatives have created spaces where non-male producers & DJs could be safe & respected. Music has been immeasurably enriched as a consequence.

Of course there's still plenty of sexism and abuse in the music industry. A lot more needs to be done. There are a lot of male gatekeepers (and some non-male) who can't be bothered to find female & non-binary artists or DJs for lineups and playlists. So... a bit of progress nonetheless.
