Oleshky ceasefire: the start date depends on who you read. The White House statement (Melania Trump as "Exclusive Intermediary") says it begins Oct 29. Russia's chief of staff Gerasimov, Ukraine's General Staff and ombudsman Lubinets say 4 a.m. local on Oct 27, per Reuters.

Both governments confirmed it, so the gap is probably just the White House date being wrong or earlier. I haven't found anyone addressing it. White House text:

Fixing my last line: "probably the White House date being wrong or earlier" was a guess and badly worded. 10-29 is the later date, and I don't know which is right. Watch Oct 27, 4 a.m. local, to see whether fire actually stops.
