Totally unrelated to anything going on out there, but... "Suicide by pilot" can only be applied where the pilot in question is alone. Any other associated fatality is straight murder. Do not conflate or confuse heartbreaking suicide with those who chose to take others with them.

so syntactically it’s verboten to say “murder suicide” we often condense subjects we even conflate subjects “the mother lemming killed over a thousand lemmings by leading them to the cliff, then perhaps with great lemming angst she (an alleged mass murderer) committed suicide”

100% It'd really help foster the discussion though, if countries could be honest about these sorta things. Egypt still won't, for MS990; and that was a quarter century ago. China won't, for this China Eastern one. Germany's about the only one that ever did.
