Spiking will be made a criminal offence. The Labour government was elected to take back our streets, central to this mission is making sure women and girls can feel safe at night. Perpetrators of spiking will feel the full force of the law.

Note that spiking is already covered by multiple statutes such as Offences against the Person Act 1861 or Misuse of Drugs act 1971 - Having a separate offence means better data for police, higher likelihood of victims to report the crime and higher deterrent factor to would-be perpetrators.
