I agree with this completely. I’m in the US and I see the whinging about paywalls. I mean, I get it. I don’t have the finances to subscribe to anything right now so I am truly appreciative to those journalists who don’t have paywalls. I would not be as informed as I am without it.

By the same token, many journalists also have families, all have bills to pay. Expecting them to remove paywalls and work for free is absolutely asinine. Would the complainers work for free? Absolutely not.
