Today it was generally in the upper 80s to around 90, there was a stiff breeze, heat index peaked in the mid-90s, but was generally in the low 90s. Wednesday is supposed to be "water day" at day camp. Kids told me they didn't do it, because they stay inside if the heat index is above 90! 90!?

I understand heat index of 100 or more, but COME ON. I want my kids playing outside in normal summer weather. Especially when they are getting sprayed with cold hose water. How many July days in the middle to upper 80s will have a 90 degree heat index--most of them!
