ProbeLab Sonar is now in public beta! Paste a PeerID, ENR, or Multiaddress to: • Probe your node live & see how the network views it • Compare real-time stats against years of crawler data Try it free 👉 probelab.io/sonar/ What Sonar checks on each network 🧵👇
Post
IPFS: Sonar dials each address of your node and shows which ones other peers can reach. It reads your DHT routing table, counts how many peers have you in theirs, and checks if the IPNI indexers know you. @ipfs.tech @libp2p.bsky.social
Filecoin: the same reachability and DHT checks for your storage provider. Sonar also asks each IPNI indexer if your node is a registered provider, and checks if your Lotus API port is open to the internet. @filecoin.io @fil.org
Ethereum and Gnosis: paste an ENR. Sonar finds the node through discv5. Then it connects over libp2p for consensus-layer nodes, or over devp2p for execution-layer nodes. It also decodes every field of ENR. @ethereum.org @ethereum.foundation
Sonar also probes peers on Celestia, Polkadot and Avail. On every network, Sonar shows the client and protocols that the network sees you run, where your IP address is, and if an admin port is open to the internet. @polkadot.com
We want to add support for more networks, such as Bitcoin, AGNTCY and Monero. If you want to see it in Sonar, tell us: probelab.io/contact/

This is just the beginning. Each lookup is a snapshot and we want to add monitoring: you register your node once, Sonar probes it on a schedule and tells you when something is not as it should be. Do you want this for your nodes? Tell us. All details in the blog post: probelab.io/blog/introdu...
