My thinking: Paxton is nuts, but also a firebrand. Crockett is also really good on offense and could deliver some body blows. But if the nominee is the relatively mild-mannered (milquetoast?) Cornyn, a more urbane and avowedly Christian candidate such as Talorico will do better than a firebrand

So are you saying match fire with fire and calm with calm? Interesting thought. But not sure that works in Texas for the Ds to win. I think Talarico could be interesting versus Paxton, since it would be harder for Paxton to say he speaks to Christianity over Talarico.

CBS' obsequiousness should be the top story on every major news outlet, just below the passing of Rev. Jackson (RIP 🙏). The fact that it's not is very telling with respect to how corporate media controls the news narrative to its own benefit... and Trump drives rage, clicks, views and profit.
