PNG is back! After over two decades, we released a new PNG spec. www.programmax.net/articles/png...

Really excited about the HDR support! > We expect the next PNG update (Fourth Edition) to be short. It will improve HDR & Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) interoperability. Would "Support for ISO 21496-1" be a good guess?

Yes :) The team took a break waiting for Third Edition to be published before we continued onto Fourth Edition. ISO 21496-1 is almost published. We don't want to depend on it until it is ready. But since it is close, we can do some work assuming little will change.

Great news: looks like it’s published! www.iso.org/standard/867...
