I want to play Star Wars Zero Company. But I *hate* that they furloughed their people. I do not want to support a company that does that.

Were there any specifics on what happened? Or how? I mean if it's truly a case of "we did our best to make a game but ran out of money before release" perhaps it was the best of worst options? Any news on if they can (and will) now unfurlough them?

Agreed. No news as far as I'm aware. But the lack of news also seems troubling to me. I feel like by now employees could have received an email like "the game is selling incredibly well and we can bring you all back [with backpay?]". If it changes, I'll reconsider buying.

Totally feels like that ought to happen, unless they got a terrible publisher deal or something. It's always hard to know what's going on from the outside. Not sure what the ownership status is, maybe the studio wants to but not e.g. MS or whoever is at the top. :/
