I wonder how Andy Burnham is going to be shuttling to/from the North. His security requirements would likely require a private jet, but that flies in the face of climate action. Ed would not be pleased.

Not necessarily. He used the jet yesterday because he went to Glasgow and Manchester in the same day, but otherwise you can take the train or go by car. It’s not that far.
