Is there a word for government of the absurd, by the absurd, and for the absurd? We have kakistocracy, aristocracy, plutocracy, kleptocracy, theocracy, pervertocracy, idiocracy, dipshitocracy, jackassocracy, shitzenpantsocracy, etc., but …

This comes from the “No one was ever fired for hiring Microsoft” mindset. Gov. Procurement knows that, no matter how colossal the project failure ends up being, no one will question them for hiring the “best”. So, these companies rest on their laurels rather than producing usable products.

We'll maybe they were trying the "fight fire with fire" approach? Of course if you are incompetent, you just end up burning everything down.

Congrats tech companies for maturing to the "Defense/Aerospace Profit Model". Leverage connections to land a giant contract for a system you know you can't build to spec (F-35), won't work (F-35 again lol), and/or will be insanely overbudget (ISS). Get dug in with contract. Get ever more $$$.
