In fact, if you’d told me he’d already been dead for years, I would have accepted that without question. Or mourning. The former Republican speaker of the House died Oct. 3 at his home in Plano, Illinois. He was 84. What can I say? It’s really hard to keep track of the many elected officials who turn out to be total creeps.
