I'm a sucker for hearing a weird career path into games - kind of feels validating in a way to see all the different backgrounds people have come from. Would love to chat to Gregory about his work on the narrative of Returnal. That game is a masterpiece and the storytelling is top notch.

I absolutely agree. I’ve also had a super weird pathway into the game space, and I’m starring to think it’s a very common pattern. Definitely a thru-line with a lot of people is passion and getting into game jams as an entry point.

The industry is such a mixing pot of different backgrounds and experiences. But I think that diversity in devs is also one of its biggest strengths. No matter what other career you've come from, there's always a way to apply those skills to games. Call centre included. 😂
