if you want to be more independent of bluesky, the easiest way is to move where your account is stored. pds moover makes finding a new home for your account simple, and takes advantage of bluesky's locked-open tech to ensure a single entity take away your relationships or can't delete your posts.

one note: moving your account does not impact you being able to use the bluesky app! you can continue using it if you like, it just means they don't have ownership over your account + data.
