The person who lived in the apt before him probably fed them. Birds remember! I removed plants that died because of a drought. Afterwards, a sparrow landed on one edge of the planter, hopped onto the dirt, hopped on the other edge, all while chirping madly & looking at me. I had removed his shelter!

Proof that the most successful social networks still rely on a high-quality physical interface and a reliable incentive structure. Birds are just early adopters of the gig economy.

Do NOT use feeders or nest boxes (dead trees or plastics). Don't feed toxic monocrops that destroy insects and habitats. Don't eat birds and plant only native plants to "help" (not kill) birds. #birds www.wildlifetrusts.org/actions/how-...

I see wood (dead trees / forests aka dead wildlife habitats), mono crops (dead wildlife habitats) and some plastics. Attracting birds to windows is risky for birds. Birds prefer sight protection from native plants when eating or they get anxious. Don't eat birds. www.audubon.org/plantsforbirds

I had bird feeders years ago. Had so many birds visiting. Eventually a squirrel moved in and even ate through a bird feeder. I miss the birds visiting. 😒

Bad idea as it can result in bird strikes and deaths. Feeders recommended to be as far away from windows as practical. He needs some window stickers to provide warning that there is a boundary at the clear glass.
