I agree, but being a billionaire means her bigotry gets rewarded with attention and money that regular people can't even comprehend. Digging your heals into transphobia rots your brain, but so does being rich and powerful. Middle class bigots can change, but she is too far gone.

A lot of people don't care, some don't really know (they might think she's said some mean things about trans people, but not realize that she's bankrolling powerful bigots), and the rest have decided that HP is too important so they'll fund hate and feel a little guilty, as if that balances it out.

I think a lot of people still don't know. Or don't care. I dropped off the franchise and never finished the books when I discovered the his dark materials franchise as a kid.
