Now he's decided he's hungry. I'm parking and he'll drive up to a place across town. He drove across town to pick me up to drive me back across town. I don't ask questions.

So now we're outside a pink trailer with pink children's picnic tables waiting for our crêpes. Nobody here is older than high school age, except me and Rene in our fifties. But I'm sure it's fine.

I asked him where his apartment is and he looks at me and says, "The Schedule!" Strange make for an apartment complex, but okay. What he meant was that he forgot to send the schedule for work. So now we're sitting at a pink children's picnic table and he's on his laptop.

So. Crêpes were so-so, but the trailer was run by two kids in their teens so I didn't have my expectations high. Rene didn't get food, didn't get coffee and drove me back to my car talking cheerfully the whole time. I think my friend was distracted tonight. I'll check on him tomorrow.
