He never wants to leave. His ballroom which is not up to code will not be ready. The person who was the head of construction quit because of it. He said… I am the code. I wanted it to be the Obama/Biden migrant welcoming pavilion but obviously it's gonna have to be torn down.

The bright side is, if Maga pushes for Trump to third term, it could really tear the republicans apart. This would benefit democrats - they could ally with the sane Reps against Magas and achieve a lot of leverage - even surpassing the filibuster.

The place to block Trump in 2028 is at the state level, by keeping him off the ballot. Dem trifectas in PA, MI, and WI, plus Dem Secretaries of State and Dem majority Supreme Courts in all three states, would make that possible. Yes, SCOTUS might interfere. But then all bets will be off anyway.

OTOH, given that his approval numbers are in the toilet and are likely to get worse, plus the fact that he's a decaying, decrepit hulk of a human being, Dems might WANT him to run again.
