React Weekly #40 is here with deep technical reads for frontend and mobile engineers. In this issue: - Native Android Activity Result constraints in React Native - End-to-end iOS Live Activities with Expo - Architecture notes on TanStack Charts - Coordinated Next.js security updates

Android's Activity Result API requires early registration in the Activity lifecycle. Because React Native initializes modules lazily on demand, standard AndroidX contracts break. A deep dive explores why existing workarounds fall short and how an upstream bridge fix could resolve it.

Want Live Activities in your Expo project without ejecting? Wahab Balogun walks through writing widgets in TSX that compile down to SwiftUI, capturing APNs activity push tokens, and orchestrating real-time updates directly from a custom backend.

Tanner Linsley reflects on the multi-year engineering effort behind TanStack Charts, open source sustainability, and pairing with AI tools. Plus: 5 practical native rich-text techniques using react-native-enriched-html without heavy webview overhead.
