i think the flat ios still had fun and whimsy until ios 13 when they slowly stared removing it

i think that post iOS 6 iOS only got whimsical since iOS 13 with memojis, the new lock screens and wallpapers, insane animations (NameDrop?), colored icons, etc

ios 7-12 (especially 7-10) had so many small details that didn't take away from the experience. for example, the use of parallax in more than just the wallpaper, the panorama lock screen thing, and so much more
