The Dems don't have the power. The American people, mostly the white ones, gave the power to the Republicans.

You want to fight fire with fire? Then fire REPUBLICANS at midterms to get democrats out of the minority. Math is math and all of this 👇 math is why we are here. The energy expended shouting at Dems needs to go to helping get MORE Dems in office, not jeopardize current ones with constant bashing.

We need to fight Fascism with a Supermajority in both Houses. The alternative may likely involve people giving their lives just as our ancestors did--in a revolution. Or...a really long and sad process of trying to escape the Fascist regime while under its oppression for decades....and decades...

Not according to the Senate rules, he doesn't. Committee assignments are voted on by the Dem caucus and then by consent of the whole Senate. They can be removed by a similar vote. Nancy Pelosi has never served in the US Senate.

I think they decided who would vote yes. Ones that could take the hit without major damage or were not running again, voted yes.
