We moved back to California after a year and a half in Seattle.The mortgage rates and credit card rates had risen to 20%. We had to take a second, interest only mortgage, just to buy a house again. I went to work at the mall for $7.50 an hour. We were still paying the mortgage,on the unsold house.

The only good news about that is that those 80's converted a LOT of Republicans into Dems. My dad was one of them. Never voted for the GOP after Reagan. He despised him.

In my neighborhood there were many seniors living off they're savings. Bush jr. started the decline to prop up the housing market. With tax cuts and regulation cuts, crashed. Who could have seen that coming?

There must be a way to hold propaganda news accountable without it seeming a violation of first amendment rights. It’s said that Americans aren’t dumb but over a third of them aren’t exactly good at rational, deductive reasoning and we’ve paid dearly for it.

Democrats need to start messaging far and wide NOW. When they get in power they need to msg what a mess they have to clean up and everyone will need to roll up their sleeves, especially those that voted for this shit, and be supportive while they fix it. & it ain’t gonna happen overnight so STFU.

Elected Dems need to incorporate this in their communications to voters…. NOW. And in every speech until Jan 2027.
