Netflix used an LLM to translate a kids show. The voice overs were so bad, it was considered harmful to child development. After some heat, they removed the Dutch version. I saw this in Dutch media. I don’t think that really justifies it. They deserve international backlash over this.

Imagine AI-generated translation in a cartoon encourages little kids to subscribe to Disney+ or something. Now, that would be utterly outrageous.

On somewhat related news, cannot be happier to have cancelled Netflix a few months ago. They never needed AI to produce the absolute slop.

Nice. I still use all the video streaming services. Although I watch a lot more Disney+ than Netflix.
