Some of these decisions to close may have been driven by the Fable / Mythos risk of "open is too risky" that we saw with NHS England. This is the "sovereign security" angle, which appears right in the short term whilst very wrong in the long term.

I heard from inside pals (I used to work in design at home office) that this was a HIGHLY unpopular decision and seen as a massive regression. Thanks for the link. Will read later.

You’re so welcome. That means a lot coming from you Elena. Thank you. You’ve been smashing it with these recent reports and I hope more people learn from them. 🙏

Thank you! As I often say, I wish I didn't have to write them. I'm happy to see that the tide is starting to turn, as more people begin to write critically about this project. So thank you for contributing to the discussion! 🙏

Sometimes all it takes is someone like you to draw a dotted line around some strange facts to help pull everyone’s eyes towards the topic. Keep going!

The only point I would disagree with is it being "TruthSocial for the Left" Given multiple articles I've seen about their CEO and her interviews, in the most tame versions, it's for Centrists and Liberals

In reality? Yeah But they keep shaping their presentations to sound more interesting to centrists and liberals too, with pretty words, even if they don't represent the reality

But considering some specific interviews, they are aiming to reproduce exactly what we current see happening on X (and hence why branding around W makes sense for them), openly welcoming AFD and such In that case, being just TruthSocial but European and forked from bsky/atproto

Once you notice the structure underneath, yeah. Different values performing the same playbook. The openness was always provisional.
