your token costs: lower your server costs: lower your bandwidth costs: lower not to mention the fact that you'll ship in half the time and tear out less hair in the process. just use @svelte.dev, people. it's like other frameworks but better

We measured the LLM token cost of 5 frontend frameworks on identical components. Svelte wins, Angular costs 38% more — and your AI bill feels it. #webdevelopment

People sticking religiously with React has been the "thing that webdevs do" that has been by far the hardest for me to understand. Like... do all of the rough edges not bother you? Doesn't the VDOM bother you? Do you even know that there are other frameworks?

I've been developing graticule.org using Svelte + Claude and it feels great. It did some funky things with $state, but after pointing it to the docs it noted the anti-patterns and has been pretty smooth sailing since then. And the hints from the compiler are very helpful for course correcting

The MCP is pretty great for correcting this kind of stuff before you even see it — it has an auto fixer that we keep up to date with the latest AI idiocy patterns

I'm not surprised. Svelte is so straight-forward and logical. I showed some Svelte to a backend dev friend of mine who had been traumatized by frontend, and he said: "Huh, I could do frontend again if it was all like that" 😆

What locks me at work to react is the react based component UI library. If only it was easier to jump from that. Its crazy thats the key business decision nothing really technical.

Thats really been on my mind a bit honestly, got loads of token to use right now. This ui library also does not support server side rendering, so folks have to build SBAs. Which is fine, its just internal websites no SEO needs but it could be better as these sites get more complex

For our podcast cover generator I wanted to use astro + cloudflare as a minimum for deployment but I told the clanker use whatever rendering impl you want and it chose sveltekit after rubber ducking it 😎
