Does anyone have experience with pushing real malware to a public GitHub repo for research purposes? What do I have to pay attention to? License? Disclaimer? Can they ban my account for doing so? Any advice is appreciated!

There are plenty of repos with malware in them for research purposes. GitHub even mentions that dual-use is a valid use case. I was just looking for people who already did this before.
